CLEM Medical Center
The CLEM Medical Center is located in the North-West part of Montero, within the North Health District of Obispo Santistevan Province, Santa Cruz Department, Republic of Bolivia.
The medical center was built thanks to the support of the Methodist Church of England and joined later by World Servants of Netherlands. At the first beginning, the CLEM medical center was thought to serve only women. Then seeing the real need for family care in the area, the medical center opened their doors to all the population offering first level health services focused on the prevention and promotion of family and community health care in an area with low educational-socio-economic level. Ongoing costs are paid through CLEM, donations by the England Methodist Church and medical center’s own resources.
Direct beneficiaries: 9,000 people
Indirect beneficiaries: 90,000 people.
